fit Story
fit by FIT is a line of denim and sweaters created by Textile Marketing, Fabric Styling and Production students at FIT with help of resources and Board Member Advisors of Textile Development and Marketing Department at FIT and guidance of our Chairperson Mr. Jeffrey Silberman. Extensive planning and research went into developing this brand before its launch in Fall 2006, the brand aims to offer fit jeans and sweaters and our target market to adapt mutually to one another.
fit by FIT grew out of desire to give our demographic: 35-45 years old a perfect pair of jeans and complementing sweaters to cross the bridge between trend and staple garment. It is an attempt made by students at FIT to deliver good quality product, where all proceeds, asides from production costs, will be donated to the scholarship fund to benefit lower income prospective students as well as to charity for women’s shelter.
fit by FIT is utilizing help from the selection of diverse groups and committees in the industry and the possession of broad-ranging skill sets of students to venture beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries with confidence to close the gap between academy and marketplace.
