John Nowak
John Nowak is one of the co-founders of Malibu Heat and plays on all the teams. John was a Buffalo Wings and RIT Tigers standout for many years leading to his captaincy of Malibu. John strives to bring Malibu Nation to the forefront of Roller Hockey.
On the Rink John is known far and wide for his backchecking ability as well as his tendancy to tell you about the 2 goals he once scored. John is a top sword fighter and goalies nationwide fear his stick flex snapper.
Jason Ciesielski
Jason spends his free time pedaling Easton equipment and planting trees.
On the Rink Jason is one of the smartest players around and even though he is scared to shoot, he has been known to win adult regional top scorer awards.
Jay Downing
A little known fact about Jay is that he was on the original Malibu Heat Pro team that competed at the TORHS Nationals in Rochester, NY.
On the rink the "Moose" is a terror on opposing goaltenders. His thirst for the scoring title and quick snap shot make him a weekly star. I dare you to try to take the puck from him.
Nate Aldinger
Nate is in his second season with the Malibu Gold squad. Nate is an all around versatile player with good speed and strength. Nate can be found outside the rink applying his own "coating" to bar front and walls.
Ryan Kelly
Ryan Kelly enters his second season with the heat with speed on the rink and agility at the bar. Ryan can (and will) pore 10 shots (cherry bombs) before you can catch the score of the game. His quick hands are good for both finishing breakaways and finishing an order of wings. We expect big things from Ryan who is the captain of the Malibu subsidiary: The Bombers, or is it Hawks, either way.
Andy Niedbala
Andy returns to Malibu after a very successful early 2000s. You can normally find Andy Adrechucking around the net. Andy is an intelligent player with sub-par phone skills if he had a fun night out.
Jake Ruppert
Jake comes into Sundays hungry after winning the Malibu Golden Surfboard for most improved player. He has a talent for finding open spots around the opposition goal and is looking to put up some numbers as malibu enters its second season for bronze Sundays
Rob Acker
Rob enters his second season on Malibu Sundays looking to add to a very successful first. His size helps the team greatly along the walls and has developed a great sense for the game. In his spare time he pretends to not borrow things.
Nick Narchus
Nick "the animal" Narchus is a do it all player for Malibu. His tenacity scares opponets and draws powerplays. Watch out for his patented spin-moves that leave defenders (and himself) in a daze. Just when you think you have him cornered he will unleash a clapper from 89% of the rink. In 4 short years he plans to handle all the lawsuits that Malibu is sure to receive as the team attorney.
Ryan Perkins
Ryan Perkins is a new addition to Malibu Gold this season, his quick hands and veteran leadership are sure to help Malibu compete for the cash. Ryan has a personal sponsorship with the underarmer windpant division and off the rink can be found navigating the waters of many backyard ponds and lagoons.
Tom Downing
Tom has been a staple on the backend for Malibu the last couple years. His bench intensity is unparralled. He is a great one on one Dman with excellent shot blocking ability. He is also the only Malibu player to pay ref fees in change he found in the parking lot. His Mike Jackson and Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions are in such high demand he has been trapped by his own teammates and forced to perform.
Mike Brennan
Mike starts his Malibu career this season with Malibu Sundays. He is a great in zone Dman. His strength and competitive nature are second to none. Be warned if you get into an intense euchre game with him, as his ferociousness extends off the rink. His favorite president is Andrew Jackson, and as such he often leaves opponents in a "trail of tears".
Chris Territo
Chris begins his Malibu Career as a skater (formally a goaltender) on Sundays this season. He has a great set of hands that can put defenders to sleep. When not breaking up passes on the forecheck Chris can be found riding down the poll... at the firehouse.
Phil Gott
Phil Gott has competed with Malibu at various levels over the last few seasons and one thing is for sure; he is a shutdown defender. Playing against the other teams top playmakers Phil breaks up passes, blocks shots and puts forwards into the boards. Don't let his lack of flow fool you, his laid back attitude meshes perfectly in Malibu Nation and can be found curiously onlooking others as they compete at bar games.
Brett Campbell
Campbell is one of the best at his position in whatever league he plays in. This butterfly goalie was an RIT Roller standout for several seasons before coming over to Malibu. His skills definitely extend beyond the rink however, watch out for his larry bird tosses and is our resident 1992-1998 college football expert. He also posses the ability to go "invisible" when someone comments on how he looks like Ashton's twin.
Dale Gerbetz
Dale is the original Malibu Heat goaltender dating back to its inseption where he helped co-found the legendary team. Dale is a great hybrid goaltender and has perfected the goalie toe drag. Off the rink Dale can be found at mass sporting an smedium malibu polo and pointing out flaws in others.
Chris Major
Chris is the Malibu Sunday goaltender and has been excellent in net for many years. Chris is extremely uptight with his pregame regimens ala Ryan Miller. He captained the 11th grade social studies trivia team (majoraunas) to back to back titles.

Who is Malibu Heat?
Malibu Heat started off in the Spring of 2003 as the brainchild of RIT and UB standouts Dale Gerbetz, John Nowak, Tim Dion and PJ Santoro. Starting off as a warm-up team for many members of the Buffalo Wings Jr Platinum team, the popularity of Malibu soared higher than anyone involved ever expected. Various tryout requests began to flow in and the young fans around the rink couldn't get enough of the orange, blue, yellow and palm trees. As the teams popularity increased malibu launched a website and clothing line and continued to grow at an unparrelled pace among the roller hockey community.
